Webservice in ECC 6 : Alternative Access URL error

Hi All,

I developed a webservice on ECC6  and  Iam able to access and test the web service successfully using Soapui.

1. But when I try to assign a alternative access URL  to my webservice I am getting below error.

SRT Framework exception: ICF: Error when creating alias node. unknown

Any Ideas how to resolve this issue ?

2. Currently I have basic authentication applied to this web serive and to  access web service on soapui tool  I am using my ECC credentials.

If third party needs to access this webservice  do I have setup new user for third party in ECC and provide them those details ?

Is there any other way I can provide access ( instead of creating in ECC)   ?  Any clues highly appreciated.
